Discoveries

So I have discovered that blogging is an art and i am not that great of an artist.

I am trying to figure out all the little cool things you can do with a blog and if you have visited my blog you would realize i haven't figured them out yet!!

But today was a day for discoveries for Hannah and I !

Hannah turned four yesterday and Today she got to go to the doctor for her four year old checkup! She had to get her finger pricked for a blood test, and she was all prepared for it to hurt and as they were pricking her finger she looked at the doctor and said, I thought that was supposed to hurt. So Hannah has discovered that the doctor actually doesn't hurt!! And then we went to Walmart and as we were putting the cart in the cart return, Hannah had this great urge to lick the pipe on the cart return, well right now it is 10 degrees with a wind chill of -1 so Hannah discovered that if you lick a pipe when it is that cold your lips freeze to it! She also didn't wait for me to help her and she ripped her lips off of it and had bloody lips most of the way home! But I hoped we discovered that we don't lick pipes especially when it is cold!

Trying to pretend she is asleep but can't quit smiling and laughing all the while

Just outside enjoying a rare warm day before winter finally sets in. Hannah and her best friend Lucy

We like to pose for the camera

Collins gave hannah his old cowboy hat and so she has to wear it when she goes out side just like Daddy . This picture I call Cowgirl on a mission

Playing on the grass and trying to collect enough leaves to jump in but it didn't work.

Making Friends

It has been fun but hard at the same time for me to realize that hannah is growing up and needing more than just me! I guess I just thought she would stay my baby for forever, or maybe we would skip this stage or I have no Idea. But i have come to realize she needs more then mom, she needs friends and interactions with kids her own age. I enjoy watching her play and interact with her friends. But it breaks my heart when I see them being mean or purposely excluding her and it makes me want to take her away and not let anyone ever hurt her or make her cry. But I try to remember that i can't always be their to take care of everything no matter how much I may want to. I have to let her grow up and it is killing me. I love her so much! She is my world! I can just pray that The world will be kind to my baby girl!!

Hannah loves to take pictures herself and this was a picture she chose to take, the sleeping bears! Not bad photography for a three year old!!!

Riding the ape statue at the Zoo is a must. even if you have to wait in line! too bad it's not real!

There was a dinosaur exhibit at the zoo, we thought it was really cool but Hannah cried the whole way through, she actually let us get her picture on this dinosaur because it was the only one that didn't move or make noise.

We had so much fun at the zoo, our favorites were the giraffes and elephants! The Elephants were eating breakfast and Hannah was so enthralled with how they used their trunks to feed themselves!

She is trying to act annoyed that I made her turn around to take her picture! But she loved to watch the giraffe play with it's tongue!

Just blogging

So I am just barely getting the hang of this blogging thing.
I don't even know if anyone looks at my blog but it is kinda fun to have.
Our lives are pretty much same-o same-o.
On laborday we spent most of the day well, laboring.
But I finally got the camp trailer out of my driveway and now I can park there.
Hannah was even more excited than I was.
She was so happy that she has more room to ride her bike!
She decided that she is big enough to ride her bike to the post office now,
SO she rides to the post office and I push her home , it's a good 1/2 mile ride round trip!
But it is a fun daily outing, we even went in the rain today!
Most the time we take the dog so our walks end up being runs but it's good exercise.
Well I can't get my camera to work so I won't do pictures today, but tommorrow we are heading to Saint Louis to go to the Temple and then the Zoo. I know this is bad she is almost four and never been to the zoo. We are all excited! Later!!!!

Counting My Blessings

If you can't tell from looking at our blog Hannah is our pride and joy.
She is three and a half and we love her so much.
We have been struggling with infertility for the past two and a half years. And so I take the opportunity to remind myself each day of the great blessings I have right before me, instead of dwelling on what I don't have and want more than anything. Many people don't have the opportunity to have any children so I am just grateful for the beautiful gift that we have been given. I have learned that life is full of little miracles all around us and most of us are to busy and to caught up in our everyday lives to notice, or as the saying goes,"To stop and smell the Roses". Smelling the roses is almost necessary to keep my life in perspective while dealing with my struggles. As we all know but don't always acknowledge, we are all given struggles in our lives to teach us and to let us grow. and i have truly learned SO much . i am so grateful to my heavenly father for all i have and it is my lifetime goal to stop every day and smell the roses and to count my blessings.
