This last weekend we went camping and brought along Collins sister Dawna! We had so much fun! Hannah Was trying to pull her daddy up the back side of he rock!

Fireflies

Our Newest facination! catching fireflies! Hannah won't touch any other bug but she loves to catch fireflies. We finally taught her how to catch them without killing them, so every night just after sunset she insists we go outside and catch fireflies!

Thunderstorms

If you have ever been to the midwest or lived here you know the differance between a thunderstorm and a THUNDERSTORM! And living in Tornando Alley our thunderstorms don't always come alone! In the last week we had three major thunderstorms. You know they are coming when it gets to be unbearably humid. Personally i love these storms. The power and intensity of thunderstorms amaze me. No matter how many thunderstorms I have experianced they never cease to amaze me. The lightning is so close and so bright and you can feel the electricity in the air and the thunder is so loud and strong that the whole house vibrates.

And the rain is coming down in sheets, And every time I have the stupid urge to go out and stand in the rain. And I married a man who enjoys them as much as I do. But Hannah doesn't share the same feelings. She thinks when she hears thunder that is her cue to pile everything in the hall closet and sit there with the radio till she can no longer hear any thunder. The other night we watched the thunderstorms role in ,and then reluctantly headed indoors to wait it out, the tornado sirens went off three times that night but we were blessed to miss all the tornados.

LAZY SUMMER DAYS

OUR SUMMER DAYS HAVE INCLUDED ALOT OF OUTSIDE TIME ESPECIALLY SCINCE WE GOT A TRAMPOLINE! HANNAH AND LUCY ENJOY THE TRAMPOLINE AND OF COURSE THE SLIDE AND SWING! WE SPEND AS MUCH TIME OUTSIDE AS POSSIBLE TILL THE HEAT OR HUMIDITY OR BOTH, DRIVE US INSIDE! WE HAVE ALSO PLANTED OUR GARDEN AND HANNAH HAS TAKEN IT UPON HERSELF TO MAKE SURE IT HAS PLENTY OF WATER. SO IF WE ARE NOT CAREFUL IT GETS WATERD EVERY TWENTY MINUTES!

Collins Newest Creations

Collins is a very talented welder but he also enjoys working with wood. So for Christmas I bought him this print, which he has always loved. It reminds him of growing up on the dairy, and all he had to do was frame it. So he made this beautiful frame out of old pallets that he gets from work. He takes them apart and planes them and creates beautiful furniture and frames like this one.

I also have a coffee table and end tables made by him out of the same kind of wood. They are beautiful!
He also made me this out of old horse shoes, it is my cowboy wreath!
I love it
And this is my newest, it has yet to be hung but I needed a rack to hang my haircutting capes on and he came up with a four leaf clover made out of horse shoes with hooks on the stem! He is so talented!

Discoveries

So I have discovered that blogging is an art and i am not that great of an artist.

I am trying to figure out all the little cool things you can do with a blog and if you have visited my blog you would realize i haven't figured them out yet!!

But today was a day for discoveries for Hannah and I !

Hannah turned four yesterday and Today she got to go to the doctor for her four year old checkup! She had to get her finger pricked for a blood test, and she was all prepared for it to hurt and as they were pricking her finger she looked at the doctor and said, I thought that was supposed to hurt. So Hannah has discovered that the doctor actually doesn't hurt!! And then we went to Walmart and as we were putting the cart in the cart return, Hannah had this great urge to lick the pipe on the cart return, well right now it is 10 degrees with a wind chill of -1 so Hannah discovered that if you lick a pipe when it is that cold your lips freeze to it! She also didn't wait for me to help her and she ripped her lips off of it and had bloody lips most of the way home! But I hoped we discovered that we don't lick pipes especially when it is cold!
